Alyssa Kruithoff: Founder, Baker, and Dreamer

Alyssa grew up in kitchens. Her mother and grandmother used baking as a way to teach, bond, and contribute to school and community events. Baking was never just about food; it was about presence, learning, and love. As a child, Alyssa spent hours in three neighborhood bakeries: a German bakery, a Polish bakery, and a Hawaiian-owned bakery run by a woman named Sue. Those spaces defined what a bakery meant to her: open doors, smells spilling into the street, people gathering, and owners who knew you by name.
The Lil’ Baker was created to recreate that feeling for modern customers. Alyssa builds each order by listening first, adapting recipes with care, and treating dietary needs as part of the craft rather than a constraint. What comes out of her kitchen isn’t meant to simply fill a case, but to mark a moment. The goal is simple: no one feels like an afterthought, and everyone gets a dessert that feels like it was made with them in mind.
